Komodo National Park

The Komodo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site consists of 3 larger islands Komodo, Rinca, and Padar and over 20 smaller ones, many of which are uninhabited. Komodo and Rinca are home to the legendary Komodo dragons, respected by locals who believe they descend from one born to a dragon princess centuries ago. The mystical hidden paradise of Komodo National Park and surrounding islands will enthrall travelers with its wild adventure. A remote land ruled by dragons where active volcanos rise from the ocean gives way to its unique treasures.

Initially founded in 1980 to protect its remarkable inhabitant, the Komodo dragon, the National Park has since been extended the protection to include additional terrestrial inhabits on the islands and the biodiverse marine life.

As we make our way back to the beach, stop for a moment to notice how the golden hour covers the island in rich color while the sun while the sky explodes with a myriad of colors. The crystalline waters of the shallow reef make this a relaxing and enjoyable snorkeling excursion for everyone.

Afterward, we’ll return to the boat for lunch on deck as the ship sails to the beautiful bay of Gili Lawa Darat, located next to Komodo island. 3 days & 2 nights between the islands of Komodo and Flores absolutely magical with my parents. The program was impeccable, the sea life breathtaking and the paradisiac landscapes. The crew was impeccable and very friendly: destinations, activities, meals etc … everything was perfect! I highly recommend the destination and Hello Indo who have put together a dream vacation.

We went to Flores in April 2017 for my girlfriend’s birthday. The trip was just myself and my girlfriend, and we did a 4-days boat trip there with Hello Flores. My favourite place was probably Padar Island as the views were incredible and the hike up to the top was definitely worth it. My favourite moment was when a group of Manta Rays came up next to the boat and started swimming along the side of the boat. I’d never seen Manta before so that was pretty special.

We sailed around Komodo National Park on the Royal Fortuna, arranged by Hello Indo. After considering different options, we decided to book via Hello Indo and we now know it was a very good choice. Hello staff always responded promptly and always had correct and valuable information. The booking process was transparent. Their recommendation for the Royal Fortuna as a ship could not have suited our group better. The trip itself was a vacation of a lifetime.
