Alor Archipelago

Stretching from east of Bali, Sumbawa, and Flores, the Alor Archipelago’s lush and rugged islands are best known for their diverse cultures and a plethora of otherworldly dive sights. This small group of islands comprises no less than 100 local communities speaking 8 languages and 52 dialects. A place where guests are welcomed by smiling villagers who are eager to show their unique culture and traditions. The surrounding waters are equally impressive, and its deep channels attract a bevy of sea life – from whales, dolphins, hammerheads, and thresher sharks are a few of the common sightings. The sheer walls and coral-covered gardens are home to prolific marine life, such as unique nudibranchs, mantis shrimp, and the blue ring octopus.
